Winnie Xu is a self-taught hobbyist in ceramics inspired by East Asian sculptural design and traditional aesthetics. She also enjoys learning from the source and taking inspiration during her various travels to ceramics communities locally and beyond. Her functional (and non-functional) wares represent a love for wabi sabi craft, raw storytelling, and intentional gathering.
Each piece is wheel-thrown, potentially altered organically post-trim, and finished off with a dance of different glaze combos to something that is, surprisingly, functional and (hopefully) beautiful.
